You will receive email confirmations for all appointments and payments.
Note: please review my teaching policies below. They are short, straightforward and important. By signing up for lessons you agree with my policies.
Please select the First Lesson option in the right column.
If you are not 100% satisfied with your first lesson, let me know right after the lesson and I will issue a complete refund.
Returning students only
Please choose Regular 55 minute lesson in the right column or – if the link is live – select the package of four – and SAVE!*
Creating a profile for the scheduling portion of this website is optional – you may just use the links provided in the confirmation emails instead to navigate your appointments.
My Teaching Policies:
Lessons are 55 minutes in length.
I use zoom, the safest and easiest-to-use webconferencing tool I found. Please test your connectivity by going to zoom.us/test (There are no make-ups for connectivity problems on the students’ end.)
The scheduling software I use adjusts to your selected time zone. Please make sure your time zone is set correctly.
- You may reschedule up to 12 hours prior to the lesson without forfeiting tuition (just click “reschedule” in the confirmation email and the system will make the change. No need to ask my permission or explain. I do, however, ask that before moving a lesson you read and contemplate what I write in the This is Important section at arisbassblog.com/instruction).
- If you reschedule your very first lesson more than twice, you will be added back to the bottom of the waiting list.
If you have purchased a bundle and are struggling to find an available time slot, please email me. It means that I will find a time for you and adjust the length of my waiting list.
Be ready at your assigned time and click on the link in the email. You may also save this link as it is always the same. Just “enter” at your assigned time. If I am still teaching another student, no worries. I will put you in a “waiting room”. Just hang tight until I “open the door”!
I recommend you open an account at acuityscheduling.com. It will help you keep track of bundles and lesson times. Doing so is free.
All materials you receive from me (unless otherwise noted on the material sent) are copyright ©CapCat Music Media. All lesson notes, audio, PDFs and lesson recordings are exclusively for your personal use and may not be shared with other parties, on websites or as part of your own business ventures.
Rare technical issues precluded, you will receive a video link within roughly 48 hours after the lesson (inquire if you didn’t). Please download this video as soon as possible as I need to free the space on my end.
You may email me between lessons with any of the following:
questions about an assignment – specifically, if anything is unclear in the lesson notes (copy and paste the item from your Lesson Notes you have a question about into the email). Please watch the lesson video first.
“Ari, am I on the right track”? You started drawing out patterns or writing bass lines or transcriptions and are unsure if you are on the right track. Send a sample of a key or a couple of bars.
Your practice plans, coaching logs and habit achievements if/as talked about in the lessons.
